University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a research fellow in China Beans Institute

 

Your Responsibility

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Further research objectives and to assist with proposals as required for own and/or collaborative research areas
  • Planning and conducting research using recognised approaches, methodologies and techniques within the research area
  • Writing up research work for publication and/or contribute to the dissemination at national/international conferences, resulting from successful research outputs
  • Assisting and Engaging with PhD candidates undertaking research on the project
  • Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required

About You

  • You should have Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.
  • You should have High analytical ability to analyse and illuminate data, interpret reports, evaluate and criticise texts and bring new insights to scientific discussion.
  • You should have PhD in relevant subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area.
  • You should have Experience preparing materials samples for characterisation and experience with standard laboratory techniques for materials handling
  • You should have Working experience for analysing characterisation data with an aim to developing applications.

China Beacons Institute is well known as “being international” especially in the area of its research collaboration and talent recruitment.  The assistant research fellow will play a key role in supporting international researchers to be localised and support the international collaboration settled in local Ningbo. The role holder is responsible for supporting academic staff on the research activities, application/proposal translation and support staff to apply for funding & scheme as well as working with other professional service teams on events organization.

This is a regular post that you will be offered a fixed term contract initially of 3 years with a probation of 6 months with University of Nottingham Ningbo China with effect from August 2024 or as soon as thereafter.
