University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) Senior Manager

Your Responsibility 

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Provide advice, support, coordination, and documentation for the development, approval, launch, review, and renewal of DTP programmes.
  • Manage DTP students' lifecycle and welfare, provide professional advice, and design innovative solutions to improve service quality and efficiency throughout their PhD studies.
  • Plan, organize, and implement annual DTP activities, events, and visits, manage related resources and budgets, and represent the work unit in internal and external meetings.
  • Analyze and interpret DTP data to identify trends and prepare reports for various stakeholders, devise creative solutions to problems, and recommend student management and service improvements to senior leadership.
  • Serve as the main contact for DTP inquiries and events, maintain relationships with key academic and operational staff, collaborate with university departments to improve processes, and network with external colleagues to share best practices.
  • Identify and address key issues in DTP programs through collaboration with internal and partner units, while maintaining and enhancing professional expertise through experience and ongoing development.
  • Collaborate with GS teams to ensure a cohesive approach, support GS functions and strategic development, engage in training and professional development, and undertake additional tasks as needed.

About You 

  • You should have a bachelor’s degree, plus significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles, master degree would be ideal. 
  • You should have at least 3 years of proven working experience in DTP/PGR programme management    
  • You should have excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • You should have authoritative knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role

This is a permanent post that you will be offered a fixed term contract initially of 3 years with a probation of 6 months with University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
