University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Director of International Recruitment
Your Responsibilities
The Director of International Recruitment has lead responsibility for the development and execution of policy and plans to meet UNNC’s international student recruitment objectives and targets. The role holder will drive innovative recruitment strategies across key geographies and markets, and work collaboratively with colleagues across UNNC and University of Nottingham’s other campuses. The Director will be expected to ensure that the team is successful in meeting internal and external requirements. The Director of International Recruitment will also support the development of strategic alliances, university partnerships, and collaborations to secure sustainable flows of international students.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead on defining UNNC’s strategic and operational goals for international student recruitment.
- Design and execute recruitment strategies aligned with UNNC’s recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with global education trends.
- Develop annual international student recruitment plans, timelines, and workflows to meet UNNC’s enrollment targets.
- Lead the international recruitment team, fostering operational efficiency, professional growth, and accountability.
- Oversee the development and management of the University’s international education agent network, including but not limited to the development of agent incentive packages.
- Represent the University overseas in a senior capacity with external stakeholders, e.g. giving talks and presentations.
- Partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g., faculties, admissions, marketing) and external stakeholders (e.g., agents, high schools, educational partners) to optimize recruitment activities.
- Horizon scan, monitor global market trends, competitor strategies, and geopolitical factors impacting student preferences and mobility.
About You
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline;
- At least 8 years’ experience in student recruitment and admissions within the Higher Education Sector;
- A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of higher education from an international perspective;
- Proven ability to effectively manage staff from a range of backgrounds who are required to deliver high quality, professional, and timely services;
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including skills in project planning, data, management and evaluation;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills;
- Sound understanding of recruitment and admission related policy and regulation.

This is a regular post that you will be offered a fixed term contract initially of 3 years with a probation of 6 months with University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
