The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was established in 2004 and was the first Sino-foreign University to open its doors in China with the full approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, a world top 1% university (QS Ranking), with co-operation from Zhejiang Wanli Education Group, a key player in the education sector in China. The Vice Provost for Education and Student Experience will be a key member of UNNC’s Management Board. Working closely with the Provost, the post holder will drive the University’s commitment to delivering outstanding and engaging teaching and learning and raising student satisfaction across UNNC. They will lead and encourage innovations in UNNC’s teaching and learning, particularly in relation to blended and digital learning. Representing the University externally, in an ambassadorial capacity, they will help UNNC to achieve the ambitious goals set out in its University Strategy.
UNNC is seeking a strong, strategic leader whose excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable them to convey a clear vision for the teaching and learning goals of the University and for the enhancement of the student experience. The successful candidate will have a recognised international profile of outstanding personal achievement as a senior academic, with a particular focus on teaching and learning and a clear commitment to engaging with students. With a strong operational management and delivery focus, they will have held senior academic administrative roles and will bring a proven track record of innovation and delivery.
