University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Electrical Engineer 

Your Responsibility 

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Evaluate current electrical equipment, systems and facilities in teaching area of UNNC campuses;
  • Prioritise annual maintenance tasks;
  • Propose annual maintenance plan and implementation timeline by working with colleagues in the operation team and the department;
  • Ensure that all electrical equipment and systems comply with national/international regulations and UNNC policies;
  • Responsible for daily management of IFM engineering team to ensure their work meeting the requirements within the contract;
  • Develop proper working approach with IFM engineering team to ensure efficient and effective management;
  • Maintain close communication with end users and IFM teams to ensure instant problem solving;
  • Monitor IFM engineering team’s working performance via IFM system or other ways;
  • Acquire, analyse, manage and report utility data as required;
  • Report potential sustainable issues to team leader/HoD by data analysis;
  • Familiar with UNNC energy central control platform and space/IFM management system and archive working related information into the systems;
  • Responsible for drawing review and drawing approval of electrical equipment;
  • Update changed engineering drawings, equipment information, tickets information and other related information into space/IFM management system in time;

About You 

  • You should have electrical integration/mechanical design and manufacturing, bachelor degree or above, master degree would be ideal;
  • You should have more than 3 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance and 10KV power distribution room operation management;
  • Mechanical and electrical related major, senior or above certificate;
  • Possess excellent ability of management, organizing, communicating, and team working.
  • Have strong experience in drawing review, problem-solving ability, and insight into market trends, familiar with current national design and construction specifications and regulation, and able to independently solve quality and technical problems about engineering issues.
  • Familiar with the principle, technical performance, main parameters, and operating procedures of strong and weak voltage equipment and systems, and understand the status and defects of equipment and systems, so as to facilitate the normal operation, maintenance, rectification and improvement of equipment and systems.
  • Have good organizational coordination and teamwork spirit, and assist in the completion of the team's overall goals;
  • Good command of English and Chinese.
