University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Business Operations Assistant in Academic Services Office

Your Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to support the business operation team in the Academic Services Office mainly for departmental operations and events, teaching & learning development and curriculum management.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage Departmental Administrative Operations

Provide comprehensive administrative support for departmental operations, including managing archives, organizing team activities, maintaining information platforms, and assisting with daily tasks;

  • Coordinate Government Awards Applications

Serve as the main contact for Local Government Teaching & Learning Awards applications by interpreting requirements, coordinating preparations and evaluations, liaising with relevant government departments, and supporting report development and data analysis;

  • Support Curriculum Management Tasks

Support curriculum management through documentation, annual updates, communication, and data maintenance in the Campus Solutions system;

  • Provide ESE Committee Support

Provide secretariat support to the ESE Committee, including student rep induction, minute taking, and progress reporting, while designing and implementing support measures like training and system improvements to enhance service quality.

About You

Essential

  • Master’s degree;
  • Experience of working in an international setting and/or education organization;
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with strong oral and written skills in both Mandarin and English;
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Publisher;
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet the deadline;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure;
  • Team spirit;
  • Attention to details;
  • Willingness to work out of office hours or during holidays occasionally if requested.

Desirable

  • Experience of designing social media page/site e.g. WeChat, Facebook or website.
  • Skills in researching, drafting and editing reports;
  • Skills in data visualization;
  • Skills in visual design/graphic vision design.
