University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Social Media Assistant (Video)

Your Responsibilities

This position plays a role in executing and implementing the university owned media plans through content creation, platform operation and audience engagement, to amplify the UNNC digital media activities, increase brand image and support marketing promotion in China. This role reports to the Social Media Senior Manager.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Produce market-oriented digital media content and promotional materials based on university and department needs, focusing on but not limited to video, photography and design, leveraging the resources from student interns and agencies.
  • Execute content editing, auditing, and reviewing to ensure that the quality and messaging of all content align with university requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Manage the University's official digital platforms, including but not limited to WeChat Channels, Douyin, and Bilibili.
  • Interact with audiences of the university on multiple platforms, reinforce user engagement and develop efficient customer service
  • Manage video assets by organising, cataloging, and maintaining a centralised library of all video content to ensure efficient access to up-to-date assets for current and future projects, facilitating collaboration and enhancing overall content strategy.
  • Conduct data recording, sorting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency and reliability.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent International degree in relevant areas;
  • 2+ years’ experience in social media or digital media;
  • Ability to shoot photos and videos using professional equipment;
  • Ability to edit videos and pictures with industry-standard tools and software such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.;
  • Strong verbal and written presentation and communication skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Sound understanding of the relevant professional, legal and regulatory requirements of content production and management.
