Job outline
The role holder will primarily undertake tasks associated with the Publicity Department of the University’s Party Committee. The role holder will contribute to fostering a campus culture of political compliance and morality by leading some publicity works and initiatives. Sitting in the Party Committee Office, the role holder will also be expected to assume some responsibilities related to the department’s overall functioning and collaborate with other teams within the department.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Member of Communist Party of China.
- Postgraduate qualification, plus hands-on experience in publicity or extensive study backgrounds of English, education, communication, politics or other related discipline.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin both orally and in writing.
- High quality communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external departments and agencies.
- Experience of administrative affairs.
- Experience of managing the activities of self and/or others.
- Good computing skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge and understanding of government relations, local contexts and party construction.
Desirable:
- Significant hands-on experience in publicity or related role.
- Overseas work/study experience.
- Working experience in the CPC affairs.
- Proven project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to work in a multicultural environment, to adjust and adapt to unforeseen changes, to retain patience and high productivity in the face of challenges.
Main Job Responsibilities
- To coordinate and arrange for the Party Committee's theoretical study sessions.
- To review articles published on the official WeChat platform of Party Committee.
- To compile monthly reports on public opinions happening at the university.
- To undertake the publicity of advanced ideas, model party members, party building activities, campus culture, etc.
- To manage publicity platforms on campus.
- To write reports, news, presentation, speech notes, etc.
- To lead the development and enhancement of publicity team.
Other
- To communicate with and coordinate across various departments for specific tasks.
- To maintain the trusted and collaborative working relationships with government departments and party organizations.
- To undertake guest reception works.
- To support Party Committee leaders with their routines when needed.
This job description may be subject to revision following discussion with the person appointed and forms part of the contract of employment.
The post will be offered on a fixed term outsourced contract for 7 months.
