The School of International Communications (IC) is recruiting for a technician with expertise and skills in Virtual Production.

About School of International Communications
The School of International Communications at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China is a top recognized Media and Communication School in China and Asia. The school excels in teaching, social impact, and interdisciplinary studies and is affiliated to the Department of Culture, Media and Visual Studies at the Nottingham UK campus.

Research at the School of International Communications is vibrant and multi-disciplinary. Our dynamic and collegial team is active in the fields of media and communication studies, film and television studies, journalism, mobile studies, and game studies. Our academics publish in highly-rated international journals and are the recipients of various international awards for teaching and research.

We have been graduating students for more than ten years and our alumni have continued their education in some of the world’s leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, worked for companies like Google or L’Oreal as well as having their creations broadcasted on HBO or awarded at the Busan International Film Festival.

About You

The School of International Communications at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China has entered a period of growth in terms of research activities, student numbers, and engagement with industries. We are looking, therefore, for talented staff to join our friendly, vibrant, and collegial team. The candidate will oversee the daily management, administration, maintenance, and operations of IC’s audio-visual facilities to support the delivery of practical workshops, as well as student and staff-led projects. The technician should therefore possess relevant professional experience, particularly concerning video production because the university recently unveiled its state-of-the-art Virtual Production and Motion Capture Studio in partnership with ARRI, and the post holder is expected to manage this facility.

In fact, it is an exciting time to be part of the IC team since the University of Nottingham Ningbo China is making significant investments to complement its current and future audio-visual facilities a Dolby Atmos Sound Studio. The technician will play a key role in the development and realization of these facilities, as well as support the daily operations upon their creation. Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support
