University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow in Applied Linguistics and Literature Position in School of Education and English.

About the Role

The School of Education and English is now looking for an ambitious, talented, and experienced academic with a passion for teaching at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels to join its team of teachers and scholars in the field of Applied Linguistics and Literature. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development of the preliminary-year linguistics and literature content modules, in addition to teaching into other modules and to provide dissertation supervision within the undergraduate and post-graduate taught programmes.

About You

Candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in applied linguistics or a closely related field, have recent experience of teaching across a range of undergraduate and MA modules, and experience of successfully supervising undergraduate and PGT (Master’s) dissertations. Knowledge of and experience with teaching modules and supervising dissertations in MA TESOL are highly desirable. The advertised position will be filled at an appropriate point on the Teaching Fellow level salary scale based upon prior experience and current academic rank.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for up to 3 years, which may be extended by mutual agreement. Salary will be within the range of RMB 353,847 to RMB 482,256 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance) and you will have a range of benefits and entitlements, including accommodation allowance, insurances, schooling support, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, and paid annual leave. You may also be offered a range of Chinese talent schemes application opportunities based on individual eligibility at time of application.
