University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Senior Officer. 

 

Your Responsibility 

 

Your key responsibilities include: 

This role is responsible for teaching Chinese Culture Courses, writing/editing textbooks, designing curriculums, organising field trips, making assessment systems, etc. The role holder is also expected to do research on pedagogical issues related to teaching Chinese culture in order to improve the curriculums and enhance the quality of the courses. The role leads a teaching and research team to deliver courses and do research in a high quality. 

 

About You 

  • Excellent communication, written and presentation skills in Chinese and English.  

  • Ability to deliver lecture in English. ▪ Proven courseware production, IT skills in a wide range of software packages.  

  • Ability to lead the teaching team to develop of the course program. ▪ Proven negotiation and influencing skills.  

  • Tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.  

  • Excellent planning and organising skills.  

  • Proven change management and project management skills. ▪ Initiative, resourcefulness, problem solving skills.  

  • Ability of research and innovation.  

  • Excellent team work ability.  

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.  

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.  

  • Quick learner and strong problem solving skills. 

  • At least five-year work experience with minimum three-year work experience of relevant teaching role.  

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of teaching and research in role a Sino-foreign university.  

  • Working knowledge of the work of others inside and outside the University relevant to own field of work.  

  • Proven experience of team management.  

  • An understanding of University management systems and the wider higher education
