University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Professor in New Media, Communication and Cultural Studies in School of International Communications.

 

Your Responsibility

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out internationally leading research and scholarship and develop research directions in line with the University strategy. Enhance UNNC’S international standing in research and educational excellence related to the field.
  • Lead and support funding bids that develop and sustain research support for the specialist area and advance the reputation of the academic unit and the University
  • Contribute to the School’s curriculum development and delivery in relevant areas at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Further enhance the School’s research and teaching culture by leading on relevant initiatives internally and externally.
  • Lead and develop internal and external networks to foster collaboration, share information and ideas and promote the subject and the University.
  • Contribute to the running and strategic direction and development of the University through designated committees or project activities.

About You

  • PhD in relevant subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.
  • Ability to creatively apply relevant approaches to teaching and learning support.
  • Ability to assess and organise resource requirements and deploy effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
