UNNC is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, and offers unique teaching and research opportunities in a highly dynamic economy.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and deliver individual and collaborative research and teaching in the area of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The role holder will be responsible for publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals, presenting findings at national and international conferences, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build collaborations that advance the department's research and teaching objectives.

Candidates must have a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, a closely related field. Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development within the higher education sector, and a growing national or international reputation in their field, demonstrated by a strong publication record are also essential. An appointable candidate will be expected to have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative learning environment.

Salary will be within the range of 445,732 RMB to 586,945 RMB per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance).  In addition, an attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of five years starting May 2025 or as soon as thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
