University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Director of Education and Student Experience Office
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice Provost for Education and Student experience (VP ESE), the Director of Education & Student Experience Office (ESEO) is responsible for managing the ESEO, developing, leading and coordinating education and student experience initiatives and activities across UNNC campus. The Director is expected to work in close conjunction with members of ESE office (ESEO), faculty associate deans for ESE (AD ESE), and the wider ESE community within the university to support the VP ESE to deliver University ESE strategic agenda.
Your key responsibilities include:
· Provide strategic leadership of the Education and Student Experience Office (ESEO) to foster excellent relationships with all stakeholders to support university objectives in the longer term.
· Explore the potential for UNNC to develop education and student experience activities, and if appropriate prepare plans to explore the new areas to support the growth of the University.
· Lead the development and implementation of education and student experience initiatives and activities across UNNC campus.
· Set the overall standards of service across area of education and student experience with ultimate accountability for such standards being met.
· Liaising with Faculty AD ESE and working closely with all education and student experience stakeholders including faculty offices, student recruitment, academic services, education space and technology, department of campus life, career services and other relevant units on campus to develop, delivery and implement the university’s strategic plan on education and student experience.
· Initiate and develop education and student experience policy through appropriate consultation and negotiation, and establish effective mechanisms for its implementation and monitoring.
· Developing and managing the Education and Student Experience Office (ESEO) including providing executive management oversight and line managing staff in the ESEO.
About You
· 8 years or more relevant work experience
· Master's degree in an appropriate subject area.
· Experience working in an international higher education environment, with a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
· Substantial management experience within a higher education context in China and/or overseas.
· Experience in developing and implementing policies and initiatives related to education and student experience.
· Strong communication and presentation skills with fluent in both Chinese and English;
· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to align initiatives with the university's long-term goals.
· Experience in leading and managing change within a complex organizational structure.
· Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to inform decision-making and improve student experience outcomes.
· People management and leadership skills
· Direct or transferable skills for developing and implementing initiative for enhancing education and student experiences in UNNC.
