University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Social Media Assistant (Operation)

Your Responsibilities

This position plays a role in executing and implementing social media plans through social media platform operation, content creation and audience engagement, to amplify the UNNC social media activities, increase brand image and support marketing promotion in China. This role reports to the Social Media Senior Manager.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct domestic social media platform management and operation under the guidance of the line manager, including but not limited to WeChat, Sina Weibo, RED, TikTok, Bilibili, etc.
  • Produce market-oriented social media content (including English as required) and promotional materials based on university and department needs, leveraging the resources from student interns and other functional units.
  • Be responsible for WeChat layout and design through digital and AI tools to ensure alignment with the university's brand image.
  • Utilise digital tools and manual proofreading for content consistency and accuracy, and ensure the embedded functions are well worked.
  • Leverage trends and new digital tools to ensure the university stays ahead of the competition and maximises its reach to the target audience.
  • Manage social media assets to ensure efficient access to up-to-date assets for current and future projects, facilitating collaboration and enhancing overall content strategy.
  • Support social media campaign, and cooperate with relevant internal and external teams to realise an integrated campaign project.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent International degree in relevant areas;
  • 2+ years’ experience in social media or digital media area;
  • Demonstrated ability in social media platform management, including content, layout and design;
  • Proficiency in digital tools and Microsoft Office (Xiumi, PS, Canva, etc.);
  • Strong verbal and written presentation and communication skills in both Chinese and English;
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Sound understanding of the relevant professional, legal and regulatory requirements of content production and management.
