UNNC is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, and offers unique teaching and research opportunities in a highly dynamic economy.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the Principal Investigator and research team in advancing the objectives of a vibration energy harvesting (VEH) project. Responsibilities will include contributing to system design, experimental testing, data analysis, and circuit development for energy management. The candidate will also assist in preparing research publications, technical reports, and grant proposals related to the project. In addition to team collaboration, the candidate will be expected to carry out independent research, applying appropriate methodologies and techniques in the field of VEH. This may involve mechanical and electrical system integration, testing under vibrational environments, and optimizing the system for energy efficiency and reliability.

Candidates must hold a MSc degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. A strong background in vibration analysis, energy harvesting, or embedded systems is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, and prior research experience will be an advantage.

Salary will be within the range of 100,720 to 148,808 per annum depending on skills and experience. 

The post will be offered on a fixed term contract with an outsourced company for a period of 6 month starting from August 2025, with probation period of 1 months.
