University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Education and Student Experience Administrator in Faculty Office of Science and Engineering.
Your Responsibility
Your key responsibilities include:
- Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Support
- To respond to students’ and staff’s inquiry effectively in a professional manner;
- To coordinate with schools/departments to collect staff and module information for SET/SEM Survey online and provide timely feedback;
- To support coursework administration, module enrolment, exam administration, seminar group allocations and etc.;
- To coordinate with students' requests in course transfer, absence, Extenuating Circumstance, suspension, withdrawal and etc.;
- To support students' activities such as induction to exchange-in students, summer school and internship;
- To support paperwork of new degree application and other translation work as required;
- Interrogate and interpret the University's student records database to provide accurate student, module and course information as required to produce transcripts, letters and other paperwork;
- To proactively liaise with academic colleagues to collect, collate and circulate relevant information;
- Academic/Assessment Process Support
- To support department/school to conduct administration procedure relating to curriculum development, programme/module specification, assessment and other administrative supports, and make sure all the information is accurate and updated;
- To support HoDs and other senior staff to deal with academic misconduct cases, students’ appeals/complaints and etc.;
- To provide administrative support to exams, exam boards, and any relevant internal and overseas exams for the school/department;
- To assist exam feedback sessions in the beginning of each semester;
- To support department/school Extenuating Circumstances Panel to process ECs applications;
- To assist the qualification data tracking for progression and scholarships;
- To assist other team's work in faculty office at busy time and other administrative work assigned by the line manager as required;
- To proactively liaise with other offices/units to collect, collate and circulate relevant information as appropriate to ensure administrative deadlines are met;
- To participate in training and staff development, as trainer or trainee as appropriate, to develop and foster relevant expertise and awareness;
- To maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
- To undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Good quality IT skills including MS Office and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role.
