The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, to play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications in Mathematical Sciences.

Candidates must have a PhD degree and preferably postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Applied Mathematics or Statistics, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Experience of supervising PhD and Master students, and successful acquisition of external research funding is essential.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years starting September 2026. This contract may be extended by mutual agreement.
