University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant Research Fellow in [Green Chemical and Energy/Life Science and healthcare/Intelligent Manufacturing]
Responsibility
Your key responsibilities include:
- To contribute to the production of research reports and publications, translating research proposals for internal academics for bidding for various domestic funding scheme, and etc
- To support the administrative work for academics in the centers, and to support the operational work for CBI.
- To support the research activities and events, such as international conferences, research seminars, public lectures, workshops, etc. organized by CBI, Research Groups and Research Centres, and support the external engagement with relevant stakeholders and developing the potential research collaborations.
- To undertake supervised research which may include planning, preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and fieldwork, developing questionnaires and conducting surveys within the framework of an agreed programme.
About You
- You should have a good understanding of research proposal production and a proven track record of supporting to undertake research activities
- You should have an excellent proposal translation skill, especially from English to Chinese
- You should have excellent organizing and communication skills

China Beacons Institute is well known as “being international” especially in the area of its research collaboration and talent recruitment. The assistant research fellow will play a key role in supporting international researchers to be localised and support the international collaboration settled in local Ningbo. The role holder is responsible for supporting academic staff on the research activities, application/proposal translation and support staff to apply for funding & scheme as well as working with other professional service teams on events organization.
