University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Research Development Officer, belonging to the Faculty Office of Nottingham University Business School China

 

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct preliminary analysis and facilitate the management to identify the strong discipline/research area.
  • Draft/edit high quality proposals for key discipline, key lab, research base and other platforms, follow up the programme progress review and reports.
  • Identify and evaluate prospective research funding sources and available projects, understand faculty members’ expertise, provide professional assistance on grant/award application. Interpret the technical/legal/regulatory/procedural information to faculty and researchers for facilitating their completion of applications and/or progress reports for research projects, grants and awards. 
  • Plan and strengthen partnerships with funding bodies and industry to enhance collaboration and maximize research impact.
  • Maintenance, analyze and interpret data, and prepare report for various purposes.
  • Organise conferences, seminars, workshops, events and activities for faculty and coordinate events among three campuses of the University of Nottingham.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant subject, plus significant hands-on experience in similar or related roles
  • Strong Chinese and English communication and written skills (oral and written)
  • High data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of research and academic culture
  • Experience of preparing high quality proposals (or equivalent documents for external audiences) and presentations
  • Organisation experience of small projects with proven ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • A high degree of self-motivation, with a commitment to improvement and change

This is a regular post that you will be offered a fixed-term contract of three years with a probation of six months, effective from June 2026 or as soon as possible.
