University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit Facilities Manager in Estate Office.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Support the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of facilities management activities across campus, covering both general facilities operations and intelligent facilities management.
  • Support the development and delivery of facilities improvement projects and smart facility enhancement initiatives, including the use of Building Automation Systems, Facility/Space Management Systems, AI, IoT, data analytics and other relevant smart building technologies where appropriate.
  • Evaluate, optimise and improve existing facilities-related systems and workflows, including maintenance requests, space booking, asset tracking, inspections, preventive maintenance and equipment monitoring, to enhance operational efficiency, service quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Establish and apply data-driven approaches to support facilities decision-making, preventive maintenance, energy optimisation, downtime reduction and continuous improvement in facilities operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including IT, Facilities and Finance, as well as external vendors, to deliver facilities improvement projects, resolve operational or system-related issues, and support effective vendor performance management.
  • Monitor the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Estate-related facility systems, conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support other Estate Office operational priorities as reasonably required.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as reasonably required.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in facilities management, building services, smart building systems, Building Automation Systems, facilities management systems, IoT-enabled facilities operations, automation, electrical/mechanical systems or a related area.
  • Good understanding of facilities management operations, maintenance coordination, service delivery and operational workflow improvement.
  • Familiarity with Facility Management Systems, Building Automation Systems, PLC/DDC, equipment monitoring systems, energy monitoring systems or other smart building control technologies would be an advantage.
  • Ability to identify, analyse and coordinate the resolution of facilities operational issues, including both general facilities management matters and system-related issues.
  • Experience in coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to support facilities operations, improvement projects or system-related initiatives.
  • Strong planning, organising, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Experience in smart building systems, IoT integration, system interfaces, data dashboards, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, AI-enabled solutions or technical troubleshooting would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a university, international organisation or Sino-foreign cooperative organisation would be an advantage.
