University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant Research Fellow in Faculty Office of Humanities and Social Sciences

 

Purpose of role

The post holder will contribute to research development activities, including research intelligence, evidence gathering, analysis and stakeholder coordination, as required.

 

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:

  • To assist academic staff and research units in planning and organising research-related activities.
  • To contribute to the production of research reports and publications, and bids for funding, awards, accreditation, etc.; to prepare and present to relevant groups including external bodies.
  • To build relationships with internal and external contacts to develop knowledge and understanding and form relationships for future collaborations.
  • To undertake supervised research.
  • To conduct literature and database searches and carry out analyses and/or tests and/or critical evaluations

About You

  • Master’s degree in relevant disciplines.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, and proven bilingual translation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.
  • Developing research skills.
  • Ability to contribute to method improvement.
  • Analytical ability to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others, internally and externally.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and diverse workload.
  • Excellent IT skills, including using MS Office applications and database systems.
