University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit University Counsellor in Health and Wellbeing Centre.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • The role will provide one to one counselling/psychotherapy, both short and long term, to students and staff at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
  • Offer initial assessment appointments to determine client allocation, and to formulate and deliver appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct and record formal risk assessments and safety planning in a manner that is also therapeutic for the client.
  • Contribute to mental health promotion responsibilities, including developing and delivering related resources and activities, collaborating with the Health Promotion Team on joint mental health campaigns.

About You

  • Candidates should have a minimum of master’s level qualification in counselling/psychotherapy/counselling psychology.
  • Professional accreditation/registration/licensure in country of qualification or practice.
  • Have experience of short- and long- term counselling/psychotherapy interventions.
  • Have minimum of 2 year’s experience of clinical work in different settings.
  • Have sufficient understanding of mental health problems to be able to assess risk, and to recognise and work.
