University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit Business Development Manager in Business Development Office

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working with faculties, CELE and relevant professional service departments to develop and market commercial education programmes, including Summer School, language training, pre-sessional/pathway programmes and fee-paying non-degree training programmes.
  • Managing day-to-day B2C business development activities and programme pipelines, including enquiries, follow-up actions, pipeline data and CRM records.
  • Supporting B2B business development to identify prospective clients and develop proposals or related business development material and ensure that programme resources, logistics and support arrangements are properly planned and delivered.
  • Managing the operational arrangements for UNNC summer training programmes, including teaching, accommodation, space and related support resources.
  • Managing relationships with existing clients and partners, supporting repeat business and add-on opportunities where appropriate.
  • Designing and delivering marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C business development, ensuring messaging is aligned with university brand standards.
  • Managing the update and maintenance of departmental marketing materials, programme information.
  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of on-campus and off-campus events related to Business Development Office programmes and strategic priorities.
  • Supporting the effective use of Business Development Office processes, approval workflows, CRM systems and data tracking to improve service quality, compliance, traceability and operational efficiency.
  • Identifying operational, compliance or reputational risks in assigned activities and escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities as reasonably required.

About You

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business or a related discipline, with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in business development, client relationship management, programme coordination or education-related commercial services, ideally within higher education, training, international education or a related service sector.
  • You understand how education or training programmes are developed, promoted and delivered, and are able to work with academic and professional service teams to turn market needs into well-managed programme opportunities.
  • You are commercially aware and confident in supporting B2C and selected B2B business development activities, including pipeline follow-up, client/student communication, proposal support and relationship management.
  • You are highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong planning, coordination and prioritisation skills, and the ability to manage multiple programmes, stakeholders and timelines.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in both Chinese and English, with strong interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • You are comfortable using CRM systems to manage pipeline records, business development data and follow-up actions.
  • Experience working with external partners, agents, education institutions, or in a multicultural higher education environment would be advantageous.
